Hello,  I am glad you stopped  by.   Let me start with a little bit about  my self. I grew up  on a farm, in the country, and was always' surrounded by animals.   My dad gave me property on the Bayou, & at 25 , I started to build my dream , near the water !   I worked for an Architect, out of High School, & drew up plans for my dream home, in my spare time.  I tore down old houses to get old  pecky cypress, went to New Orleans & found old french doors , put beveled glass in them. I found huge sliding doors and Tall old turned cypress post. I wanted that old French Acadian look,  I built my house around all of these old treasures, that I had found. I wanted Lot's of glass, to feel like I was outside !!! I have Tall cathedral ceilings, with massive beams, sky lite. Old brick, Floor to ceiling glass on south side, with fireplace, in the glass wall, which over looks the water.  I wanted  stained glass, ( It was so expensive, so I learned how to build it myself. )  I have stained glass all over now, even in my shower.   I welded  a spiral staircase to get to the Loft, & put old 2 " thick  cypress for the steps.  My Loft has a Ocatagen window , ( with a Pheasant stained glass in it  )  surrounded by a  spider web wall of cypress slats ! ( Now that took me a while, but it is  beautiful !!!  )  I purchased ceramic tile from Italy , for my floors & put  that down also.  I put Cedar Shakes on the steep roof, to give it that old  French Acadian look ,but have since replaced it with  old slate from china.  It  took me over 2  years  to finally  finish it enough to move in.   I am always' doing a project, it seems !!!   I am lucky that I am good  with my hands and am able to do all of these things myself !!

I started out with a few dog's  Pom's  them a few Maltese, & a few  Teacup Yorkies,  & fell in  love with the tiny Imperial shin tzu's , I loved it so much, it has kinda GROWN !!!!     I got a few  Parrots,  & when I am outside they are all perched outside with me under my  shady oak trees.  It's like a ZOO,!!!
